A-4616 Chipmunk USB Tester

This is a simple but extremely useful tool for anyone repairing computers and laptops. It can quickly show if
the computer is working, and it offers a versatile connection to the GNDline of the computer.

The Power LED(red) is connected straight to the 5v line and will light up whenever power is present.

The USBLEDwill blink green whenever there is activity on
the USBbus. Asthe USBbus on a computer is driven by the PCH, this will indicate that at least the PCHand probably also the CPU is running. It will blink red (top side only) if a data line is open.
2 red blinks = D- (pin 2) open. 3 red blinks = D+ (pin 3) open.
1 red blink = Pin 2 and pin 3 connected to each other but open.

The 5volt LED(red) will only light up if the USBvoltage is correct. Below 4.75 v it will be off. Above 5.25 v it will blink.
